What I do... 

I specialise in all aspects of commercial property, landlord and tenant, secured lending and finance, combining that with being the firm's Managing Partner.

More specifically...

Much of my work is for medium-sized property companies or private entrepreneurs.

I look after a number of clients' commercial property portfolios, involving frequent property sales and purchases with a requirement for considerable landlord and tenant input. My post-qualification experience at Linklaters provided invaluable landlord and tenant experience, primarily acting for institutional landlords. However, I have since acted for a number of retailers in expanding and developing their chains of retail outlets in the UK.

I handle commercial, residential and mixed use development schemes, often through joint venture vehicles.  In all transactions however, speed and pro-activity are the key, trying to understand and produce exactly what my client requires and making the deal happen as soon as possible after being instructed.

I am proud of the firm we have created. I am especially proud of the fact that most of our partners and staff have been with the firm for many years. My secretary Anne Dacosta however wins the prize, having been with the firm since the second week of its formation back in 1994.

Outside the office...

My existing clients will know I spend too much time in it! Outside the office I am a keen sportsman and enjoy golf, tennis and now cycling. I enjoy watching most sports, particularly football and my beloved Tottenham Hotspur. Foolishly and being ridiculously naive, I still hope that one day I will again see them win the double (er, well, anything!), having been one day old the last time they did that!!  I still can't quite come to terms with the fact that so many of our clients support that other team.

In recent years, I have made considerable efforts to get out of the office a little bit more. Recent examples of a particularly severe and ongoing mid-life crisis include climbing Kilimanjaro, cycling from San Francisco to Los Angeles, around the Grand Canyon and other long distance bike rides in South Africa, Vietnam, Cambodia and Israel.
